What is the process of creating jewelry?
1. Creativity afloat and design on paper
Each design is ours and unique. After having a theme in mind and feeling inspired, we pick up a pencil and paper and let our creativity flow. No limits, no judgment. We draw and manage collections that have a purpose, that tell stories, and that connect.
2. We ground the designs in something material
Many of our designs don't make the cut. We must select those that can truly be brought to life in wax molds or 3D models, considering design, ergonomics, and functionality. All of this is done in collaboration with artisans who have dedicated their lives to the art of goldsmithing.
3. Wax Molds
Using the lost-wax casting technique, artisans like Dani and Orfa will hand-carve all the designs in wax. It's one of the oldest jewelry-making techniques. This ensures that the designs are 100% organic and unique, and also that we provide work for people, not machines.
4. Metal casting
After several versions, we approved the final prototype, which is exactly (or better) what we had envisioned. Using the casting technique, the wax is melted and a rubber mold is created. This will serve as the basis for creating multiple units of the same design by making several copies of the mold and melting the metal (silver or bronze) to make the jewelry.
5. Final finishes and veneer
The jewelry is then washed, polished, and repaired before the bronze pieces are gold-plated. We ensure it's a 6-micron, 21kt gold plating to guarantee long-lasting color.
6. Quality control and final lacquering
Although this is done at each stage, at the end we re-examine each piece from every production run to ensure they are all in perfect condition. Those that pass inspection, typically 90%, undergo a final electrophoretic lacquering process to further enhance their shine and prevent any possible deterioration of the jewelry.
What material are the jewels made of?
The gold jewelry is all made of bronze plated with the best quality 18k-21k gold.
The silver jewelry is made entirely of .925 sterling silver. A material that will last a lifetime.
The clasps on some accessories such as bracelets and necklaces are made of stainless steel.
And those pieces that have stones, are natural stones.
How does your warranty work?
We cover all defects for 1 year against oxidation and gilding defects. We will repair your jewelry in our workshop free of charge if there is any problem with it.
Is there any special care to be given to the products?
Stainless steel parts do not require any specific care.
Silver pieces do not need any special care, however we recommend cleaning them every 3 months to ensure they last as long as possible.
Gold-plated bronze pieces do, as they are not gold or silver jewellery.
To prolong the life of the piece and its gold plating, we recommend that you do not let them come into contact with water or chemicals, do not exercise with them, and always store them in their cotton bag. Occasionally, clean them with a microfibre cloth. This will extend their durability over time.
Do you make changes and returns?
Yes, the maximum period to make a return is 30 calendar days after the delivery of the order.
